New times bring new teaching methods and systems that, in many cases, require new, flexible, and versatile furniture that can meet new educational needs.
This generally means having to dispose of old furniture that, despite no longer being effective from a pedagogical standpoint, may still have useful life ahead.
That’s why, once the decision is made to renew school furniture, questions arise about what to do with the chairs, tables, desks, and other items used up to that point. But the trash bin doesn’t have to be their final destination. There are different uses for that outdated furniture, which can embark on a new life, also in a charitable way, far from the classrooms.
Donating it to charitable associations, solidarity organizations, or other non-profit entities can help them equip their offices or furnish a project they are working on.
Another option could be to hand the furniture over to training and social integration entities. Their users, usually people at risk of social exclusion, such as the homeless and women victims of abuse, will contribute to restoring the furniture so that it can re-enter the market with added social value.
But if, in the end, the furniture is in such bad condition that it cannot be reused, it is important to contact the appropriate authorized entities for removal and management, which will take care of processing all materials properly.
And if you have decided to renew your furniture, allow us to remind you that the design and materials used to create our products allow for maximum extension of their lifecycle. This, coupled with the fact that all materials (woods, metals, plastics, etc.) are recyclable, minimizes their environmental impact.
