Our experience at SIMO has been very rewarding. Not only because of the warm reception of our Actiflex furniture collection, but also because the SIMO Education 2017 fair itself has distinguished our most innovative line as a Featured Product.
At this fair, dedicated to educational innovation, we have been able to discover some very interesting new developments focused on teaching, especially those related to new technologies that complement and enhance learning.
That is why we want to share with you other outstanding products that will surely soon make their rightful place in classrooms and educational programs of all kinds.
From individual devices and electronic notebooks to projectors that use low-consumption lights – Ecoproyectores Casio– and robots that allow to synthesize various disciplines while also stimulating students’ motivation, the list is long.
For example, the Acer TravelMate Spin B118 lets you read, write assignments, take notes, draw, and watch videos, while the Acer CloudProfessor is a basic Internet of Things (IoT) kit that combines hardware, software, and the cloud so that students can learn to code, discover how the cloud works, and launch their own creations.
Other interesting options are those related to robotics. From electronic robots like Compluino 03 by Arduino and Next 02 by Edelvives to wooden proposals like Cubetto by Editorial Vicens Vives, which teaches the basics of programming through sensory play and is approved by the Montessori method.
Applications for fostering the learning of mechanics, electronics, and programming through robotics are also on the rise. Little engineer Kit and Little explorer Kit by Flexbot allow children to create electrical circuits in a playful way, while the Panda painter Kit helps first and second grade Primary students create monsters whose eyes light up and make sounds.
In their case, Aisoy1 Kik establishes emotional bonds with children to naturally stimulate their curiosity, while Robotics BT Beginner includes twelve examples related to automation and robotics.
At SIMO Education 2017, we also discovered tools that facilitate the work of teachers and the transmission of knowledge, such as the eBeamSmart Marker by Charmex, which transmits to mobile devices or computers from anywhere in the world the notes taken on a conventional whiteboard. On the other hand, CTOUCH Leddura 2Share 75 UHD helps share digital content without the need for cables and allows the use of four screens at the same time.
For younger children, Enfant Teacher by Esemtia is an app designed for early childhood classrooms that features a personalized agenda that sends alerts, notifications, and messages and creates image galleries.
The so-called ‘gamification,’ meaning the use of games in the classroom, was also present with interesting proposals, such as Ta-Tum, which dynamizes reading in the classroom and conducts activities based on the books read, and TinTaranTin by Mundofeliz Games, which uses musical pedagogy to teach children to play and read sheet music effortlessly.
Nearly forty innovative products caught the attention of the SIMO Education jury. And we are delighted that our Actiflex collection was one of the selected products in this prestigious and innovative list, just like us.
